The department has capabilities required for designing of cross-country and submarine (including off-shore) pipelines

• Conceptual and feasibility studies
• Pipeline route selection studies
• Soil Investigation, geo-physical and bathymetry survey requirements for river crossings
• Route / field layout
• Alignment sheets and crossing drawings including typical detailed drawings
• Mechanical design for pipelines
• Pipeline installation analysis
• Stress analysis and flexibility analysis
• Detailed engineering as required for intermediate terminals including SV stations, pumping/compression facilities, pressure let down station and all types of crossings etc.
• Risers GAs for submarine/ off-shore pipelines
• Slope protection and anchor block requirement
• Calculation for cathodic protection requirement
• Crossings design including HDD
• Preparation of as-built drawings
