Instrumentation & Control

The department provides a fully integrated system design based on the project engineering design basis, codes/ standards, flowcharts and basic process data/specifications.

Department capabilities include activities like:

• Preparation of instrument lists, logic diagrams, interlock and safety system diagrams, FandG detection and shutdown systems, loop schematics, hook-up drawings
• Sizing of control valves, safety valves, and flow instruments
• Design of Instrument cable routings, and preparation of instrument cable trench/ duct layouts
• System engineering for DCS, PLC, terminal automation and SCADA projects including system planning, specification and design
• Preparation of junction box and cable/ tubing schedules
• Instrument location drawings and wiring / tubing layouts
• Inspection/witness and testing services for special instrumentation items such as:
• DCS/PLC and other automation systems
  • Analyzer systems, ESD / FandG and shut-down logic systems SCADA systems, etc
  • 3D modeling of instrumentation items and participation in 3D model reviews
  • Preparation of material take off (MTO)
  • Plant telecommunications
